<!--ID level2Center--> Want to volunteer for GlobalAircraft.org? Welcome! Are you interested in helping out Global Aircraft? If so, you've come to the right place. Global Aircraft is a growing aviation organization thousands of members strong. The GAC Website also contains thousands of pages of content, and so it can be a hassle to maintain and update at times. Our current index of over 200 aircraft isn't quite complete either. How to volunteer If you would like to help us out, please refer to the positions needed below. You can take up as many jobs as you would like. Please read through the spots that are available below and send an e-mail to Volunteers at GlobalAircraft.org containing your name, your GAC username, a reply-to e-mail address, and which position you would like to volunteer for. We will contact you shortly after with more information. Positions Needed GAC Forum Moderators: This position is for people who would like to help moderate the GAC Forum; responsibilities include monitoring the boards for abuse and posts that do not meet the Interactive Content Guidelines. Volunteers need to be familiar with our guidelines and show good judgement Website Translators: This position is for people who would like to translate the GAC website into their native language. Volunteers should have mastered their language American Aircraft Writers/Editors: This position is for people who would like to help build our database on American aircraft. It would consist of writing backgrounds, achievements, and feature segments on the aircraft, as well as finding new pictures to add. Volunteers in this position also can add new American planes to our database if they would like. Volunteers should have a knowledge of American aircraft Russian Aircraft Writers/Editors: This position is for people who would like to help build our database on Russian aircraft. It would consist of writing backgrounds, achievements, and feature segments on the aircraft, as well as finding new pictures to add. Volunteers in this position also can add new Russian planes to our database if they would like. Volunteers should have a knowledge of Russian aircraft French, British, RoW Aircraft Writers/Editors: This position is for people who would like to help build our database on French, British, and aircraft from the Rest of the World. It would consist of writing backgrounds, achievements, and feature segments on the aircraft, as well as finding new pictures to add. Volunteers in this position also can add new planes to our database if they would like. Volunteers should have a knowledge of these aircraft Web Awards Judges: This position is for people who would like to judge websites submitted through our Web Awards section. For more information about the web awards, please refer to GAC Web Awards. Volunteers need to have a webdesign background Documentation Editors: This position is for people who would like to write documentation for our website. Documentation are things like "History of Aviation", "50 Fastest Aircraft", and "50 Largest Aircraft". We are currently working on "The Best" -- a database of all record holders in aviation sorted and categorized. This position would also let you work on this project if you would like. Volunteers should have a knowledge of what they write about Web Directory Editors: This position is for people who would like to add websites to the GAC Web Directory. To sign up for a specific category, please go to GAC Web Directory and choose your category, then click the link in the "Become an Editor" section.
